An independent, private, non-profit Palestinian organization founded in 2019 as a youth initiative that included a group of lawyers, activists, and volunteers in the field of human rights at the time. The Palestinian Global Initiative “Makers of Justice and Peace” WIJPS, in cooperation with the International Organization of World Cities of Peace, based in Sweden, declared the city of Gaza a city of peace as our first activity. On the national foundations and principles that preserve the rights of the Palestinian people based on all international resolutions and agreements that recognize the Palestinian state, its historical land, and its capital, Jerusalem. And striving to achieve the global goals of sustainable development and spread the culture of global peace based on justice and the protection of human rights.

The objectives of the Palestinian International Organization for Peace and Human Rights are:ا
  • Contributing to Palestine as an agent of positive change in the world.
  • Introducing the Palestinian cause and the internationally recognized Palestinian people and explaining the disputed issues to the international community.
  • Calling for the establishment of a clear peace based on achieving justice and respect for humanity.
  • Protecting and respecting human rights in accordance with internationally recognized standards, charters and agreements.
  • Working to educate about the importance of preserving human rights and how to achieve peace.
  • Combating social exclusion by promoting a culture of peace, coexistence and respect for the law to enable justice, enjoy security and safety and achieve sustainable development.
  • Combating extremism, racism, dictatorship, violence and terrorism in all its forms and types, so that we may enjoy security, freedom, peace and live in dignity.
  • Advancing human beings and preparing them to contribute to human development and the development of comprehensive sustainability of society.
  • Protecting the rights of children and women, providing humanitarian assistance, and caring for people with special needs.
  • Informing local and international public opinion about the blatant humanitarian, environmental and human rights issues, their harms, risks and negatives, and their impact on life and the future.
  • Protecting and preserving the environment and supporting nature to ensure its stability.
  • Encouraging the language of dialogue, mutual understanding and respect between individuals and communities where there are encroachments and differences in cultures, religions and beliefs.
  • Activating the role of youth in societies to contribute to community development and political and social reform.
  • Monitoring and documenting human rights violations and humanitarian and environmental crimes.
  • Working to strengthen bilateral relations, links, coordination and cooperation with local and international cultural, social, humanitarian and legal institutions and bodies that work towards the same goals.

The organization’s work locally focuses on:
  • Monitoring and documenting human rights violations in the occupied Palestinian territories, especially human, environmental, economic, social and cultural rights, committed by the Israeli occupation forces on the one hand and responsible Palestinian parties on the other.
  • Following up on the Palestinian political division and addressing its effects, which have resulted in a deterioration in the economic, political and social conditions since its beginning in 2007 in the Gaza Strip.
  • Establishing dialogue, cultural and intellectual workshops and seminars that address human rights issues and ways to promote a culture of peace and community peace, targeting youth in all their categories and fields.
  • Providing information on human rights issues to NGOs working in the field of human rights.
  • Referring victims to the competent authorities and resolving civil disputes through humanitarian or legal means.
  • Providing various training courses targeting all segments of society.
  • Protecting the rights of children and women and caring for people with special needs.
  • Providing humanitarian aid to those in need, if available.
  • Strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation with local cultural, humanitarian and legal institutions and bodies working to achieve the same goals.

The organization’s international work focuses on:
  • Defending the rights of the Palestinian people and opposing the crimes and violations they are subjected to by the Israeli occupation and reporting them internationally.
  • Providing information on human rights violations in the occupied Palestinian territories and sharing it with international and global organizations concerned with peace and human rights.
  • Conveying the Palestinian voice to the outside world and to the international community, including international institutions, organizations, and the media.
  • Participation in global initiatives and cooperation with international peace and human rights organizations represented by countries, and sharing ideas and exchanging dialogue on global humanitarian issues specific to countries, which would help in providing solutions and support for such issues.
  • Strengthening relations and cooperation with international humanitarian, legal and cultural organizations that work to achieve the same goals and global objectives for sustainable development, preserving human rights and spreading peace.
