According to the latest official statistics issued by the Palestinian Prisoners Club , the Israeli authorities have arrested more than 2,920 Palestinians since the start of the war on the Gaza Strip on October 7, while the number of prisoners in prisons has reached about 7,000. The Prisoners Club indicates that the data remains approximate and variable as a result of the ongoing arrest campaigns. The arrest campaign is accompanied by widespread abuse, severe beatings, field investigations, and threats against detainees and their families, in addition to widespread acts of vandalism and destruction in citizens’ homes, and acts of terrorizing and threatening citizens.

The number of arrests since October 7 has reached more than 2,920, most of them in the Hebron Governorate in the southern West Bank, including about 100 women, according to the Prisoners Club .

There are no accurate data on the number of child arrests, but the Addameer Human Rights Association said in a statement on Sunday that Israel arrested 200 children during the mentioned period, and 40 journalists were arrested, 30 of whom were kept in detention. The number of administrative detention orders after October 7 reached 1,464, including new and renewal orders, especially the large number of civilian men, women and children who were recently arrested in Gaza.  The numbers are not yet known.
